Philip A Leyshon was born in Cardiff but raised in the Rhondda Valleys. Together with his family, he continues to live in the Rhondda, today ministering as an Anglican priest. He discovered fantasy literature at a young age and was influenced by the writings of J.R. R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. Discovering that a great deal of fantasy writing had male principal characters, as well as supporting ones, he wanted to write a story where the opposite was true. This is his first novel.
Author of The Mystery of Archer Hall.
